STEP 2: ENLARGEMENT AND ADJUSTMENT:
The map is blown up using a photocopier until the hexes are 2" across.
Note that this is a dicey measurement, as the borders of the hexes will be
huge at this time, making measurement a bit trickier. Also, a road on the
original map is only about 1/4" across when blown up to
miniatures scale. This disrupts the map considerably if you do what I did
and make the roads 1" wide. It's next to impossible to make the map
'perfectly accurate' as far as the sizes of cities, distances between
forests, etc. I eventually gave up and just 'rounded' the hexes
considerably, made the roads 1" wide, river 2" wide, etc. The dynamics of
the map were difficult to maintain (I.E., keeping enough space between
chunks of forest that either a single unit could block them with its 1"
overrun radius, or not, depending on whether the original map showed a 1
hex or 2 hex gap) but marginally workable.
